On the Donor

In 2007, the 1973 cohort of Geography Graduates, through a donation to the School of Geography, agreed to establish an undergraduate scholarship to be awarded annually with effect from the academic year 2007-08.

Purpose and Scope

The scholarship shall be awarded to 1-2 Geography Majors, who must have taken at least 4 geography courses (each with 6-credits weighting) in the penultimate year of study, on the basis of the overall results of their geography courses attained in that academic year. The value of award is set at $3,000 per annum, and may be revised either downwards or upwards to a maximum of $10,000 per annum subject to the investment incomes generated from the donation is at the discretion of the Head of Department of Geography.
