In 2004, the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries established a scholarship scheme at the University to support undergraduate students. In 2012, the donor continued its support through The Chartered Secretaries Foundation Limited, and the scheme was renamed as "Chartered Secretaries Scholarship". In 2017, the name of the Scholarship was revised to “HKICS Foundation Scholarship” in line with new name of the donor organisation. In September 2021, the donor was renamed as “The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute Foundation Limited” and the name of the Scholarship was revised as “HKCGI Foundation Scholarship”.
One scholarship shall be awarded to a student reading the degree of Bachelor of Law (LLB), and the other scholarship shall be awarded to a student reading the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration*, on the basis of academic merit (i.e. a CGPA of 3.30 (B+) or above).
Students who receive the Scholarship shall be committed to joining the functions organized by the donor.
