HSBC Hong Kong Scholarship
On the Donor
Since 1997, the Hongkong Bank Foundation contributed in scholarships, bursaries and other development awards to more than 300 students from tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. It covers a wide range of scholarships such as scholarships for local, mainland and international students, for overseas exchange, for students with disabilities, etc.
Purpose and Scope
Applications for the scholarships normally open in November/December each year. It shall be awarded to full-time undergraduate students who:
- are Hong Kong permanent residents with the right of abode in Hong Kong;
- have achieved good academic results (CGPA of 3.7);
- well-roundedness, participating in extra-curricular and community activities;
- commitment to Hong Kong.
(Note: Students must demonstrate strong financial needs. Preferences will be given to those from a financially disadvantaged background.)
Timeline
Applications for the scholarships will normally open in late-November / early-December each year, you can find the application details here during the application period. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview in March - May.
