On the Donor

In 2004, Professor Y.L. Choi agreed to donate a Scholarship annually with effect from 2004-05, to commemorate his father Mr Tsoi Tit Long whose devotion to government service during the 8-year National Defense War (1937-1945) set the example for Professor Choi’s professional career of applying engineering management for planning and implementing Hong Kong's rapid urbanization in the late 1900's.

Purpose and Scope

One scholarship shall be awarded annually to a second-year student of the 
degree of M.Sc.(Eng.) in Infrastructure Project Management who has achieved 
the highest average mark for all modules taken under the Programme, and 
preference shall be given to a student who has taken a greater number of 
discipline modules in the Infrastructure Project Management Programme. In 
case of equal marks, the award shall be made to the student showing stronger 
competence in the application of analytical methods. 

One scholarship shall be awarded annually to a second-year MSc(Eng) in Civil Engineering student on the basis of academic merit. Preference shall be given to a student who has taken a greater number of courses in the area of Infrastructure Project Management. In case of equal merit, the award shall be made to astudent showing stronger competence in the application of analytical methods.
