Ng Tong Lai Heung Memorial Scholarship

On the Donor

In 1981, Mr Peter Y.L. Ng donated a sum and his share of the royalties from his book, "New Peace County: A Chinese Gazetteer of the Hong Kong Region" to establish a scholarship in memory of his mother. With effect from 1981-82, the scholarships will be awarded to the 2nd year BA undergraduates.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduates entering the second year in the Faculty of Arts on the basis of academic merit as shown by the BA First Year Examination (First and Second Semesters). Where candidates are of equal academic merit, preference shall be given to those in greater financial need.
