On the Donor
In 2010, the Board of Studies of Master of Public Health (MPH) established the Professor
Anthony J Hedley Scholarship, with an initial donation of HK$174,000 from Professor Hedley’s
friends and colleagues, in recognition of Professor Hedley’s contribution to the development and
teaching of MPH programme.

Purpose and Scope
One scholarship shall be awarded each year to a new student pursuing the full-time or part-time
MPH programme on the basis of academic merit, community services and financial need. Priority
may be given to students who are interested in environmental health. Students’ past experience
and potential for research or advocacy in this area will be taken into consideration.
