In May 2006, the Class of 1972 LLB graduates donated a sum to the Faculty of Law, the University of Hong Kong to establish a scholarship to be awarded to an outstanding final year LLB student of the Faculty with effect from the academic year 2005-06. The scholarship is established in memory of the late Professor Dafydd Meurig Emrys Evans, OBE, the founding Dean of the Faculty of Law passed away in England on 1 April, 2006, who has devoted most of his life to legal education in Hong Kong and played a major part in planning PCLL programme.
The scholarship shall be awarded to student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievements on the basis of the cumulative GPA at the end of the final year of studies. Participation in extra-curricular activities, leadership and personality may also be taken into account.
