Rayson Huang Scholarship in Chemistry

On the Donor

In 1986, friends and colleagues of Dr Rayson Huang, Vice-Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong from 1972-1986, donated a sum on the occasion of his retirement to establish a Rayson Huang Endowment Fund.

In 2015, upon the passing of Dr Huang, friends, former students colleagues and mourners paid their tribute and together donated a sum to the Endowment Fund.

Purpose and Scope

The scholarship shall be awarded to:

(a) Chemistry major students entering the third year of the BSc curriculum, on the basis of academic merit in the second year of study; or

(b) students reading for the degree of MPhil or PhD in the Department of Chemistry, on the basis of academic merit.
