Science Entrance Scholarship
On the Donor
In 2008, the Faculty of Science established the Science Entrance Scholarship for students admitted to the 6901 Bachelor of Science (BSc) through JUPAS on the basis of academic merit as shown in the results of the HKALE Examinations.
In 2012, the Scholarship transitioned to students with results of the HKDSE Examinations. In 2019, the Scholarship was extended to 6224 Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Applied Artificial Intelligence (BASc(AppliedAI)). In 2021, the Scholarship was extended to 6688 Bachelor of Science and Master of Research (BSc&MRes). In 2022, the Scholarship shall be further extended to students who are admitted to the double degree programme, 6858 Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws (BSc&LLB) through JUPAS.
Purpose and Scope
The Scholarship shall be awarded each year based on the academic merit as shown in the results of HKDSE Examination. The number of awards shall be determined by Faculty of Science based on fund availability.
The HKDSE examination results are based on one sitting only. Students must be non-HKDSE repeaters. To be eligible for an award of the Science Entrance Scholarship, students must fulfil the minimum University entrance requirements.
