Science Entrance Scholarship
On the Donor
In 2008, the Faculty of Science established the Science Entrance Scholarship for students
admitted to the 6901 Bachelor of Science (BSc) through JUPAS on the basis of academic merit as
shown in the results of the HKALE Examinations. In 2012, the Scholarship transitioned to students
with results of the HKDSE Examinations. In 2019, the Scholarship was extended to 6224 Bachelor
of Arts and Sciences in Applied Artificial Intelligence (BASc(AppliedAI)). In 2021, the
Scholarship shall be further extended to students who are admitted to the double degree
programme, 6688 Bachelor of Science and Master of Research (BSc&MRes) through JUPAS.

The Scholarship was later extended to include the 6224 Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Applied Artificial Intelligence (BASc(AppliedAI)) in 2019, the 6688 Bachelor of Science and Master of Research (BSc&MRes) in 2021 and the 6858 Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws (BSc&LLB) in 2022.
Purpose and Scope
The scholarship shall be awarded each year based on the academic performance in the HKDSE Examination from one sitting only. Students must not be HKDSE repeaters.
The number of awards shall be determined by Faculty of Science based on fund availability.
