Arnold and Vicky-Shek Zeitlin Memorial Scholarship

On the Donor

The late veteran foreign correspondent Mr Arnold Zeitlin, who served as a visiting professor at the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC), donated a sum, matched by a grant from The Freedom Forum, USA, to the University of Hong Kong for the establishment of the "Vicky Shek Zeitlin Memorial Scholarship". In 2024, in memory of  both Mr. Arnold Zeitlin and Mrs. Vicky Shek Zeitlin, their descendants wish to rename the Scholarship the "Arnold and Vicky-Shek Zeitlin Memorial Scholarship".

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship(s) shall be awarded to undergraduate and/or postgraduate student(s) who are pursuing study programmes offered by the JMSC.

The scholarship(s) shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit; financial need will be considered when candidates are of equal merit.
