On the Donor
In 2004, the late Madame Christabel Chu Tsuk-Lim (HKU pre-war Medical alumna) left a legacy to The University of Hong Kong in memory of her husband, the late Professor Y S Lung (a HKU Mechanical Engineering professor) and herself.
The "Y S and Christabel Lung Fund" was then set up as a perpetual endowment to support scholarships in the Faculty of Engineering and the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.
Purpose and Scope
The scholarship shall be awarded, as Entrance Scholarships, to students admitted to study the MBBS degree programme, on the basis of academic merit as shown at the prevailing public examinations for admission to HKU, such as Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), or other equivalent qualification.
The scholarship(s) shall be tenable for the normative period of study subject to satisfactory academic performance being maintained annually.
