Y.K. Pao Scholarship in Psychology

On the Donor

Sir Y.K. Pao of World-Wide Shipping Agency Ltd. donated a sum to The University of Hong Kong for the award of two scholarships annually from 1971-72 and three scholarships from 1982-83.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded to the following students each year:

(i) two fourth-year undergraduates from the Faculty of Social Sciences who have taken or enrolled for at least 48 credits of advanced courses in Psychology; and

(ii) one fourth-year undergraduates from any Faculty, other than the Faculty of Social Sciences, who has taken or enrolled for at least 48 credits of advanced courses of Psychology.

Selection criteria:

• Academic merit in the study of Psychology before the beginning of the Year Four
