The University of Hong Kong Law Alumni Association Fund was established by HKU Law Alumni Charity Limited, in November 2009 for the purpose of awarding law undergraduate law students’ academic advancement. In 2020, the Donor expanded the scheme to include PCLL students.
A maximum of four scholarships shall be awarded each year as follows:
a) Up to two scholarships shall be awarded each year to second year LL.B. students entering the third year of the LL.B. degree curriculum on the basis of student(s)’ academic advancement as reflected in percentage increase of student(s)’ second year yGPA, compared with the previous year yGPA. In the case of equal advancement, preference shall be given to those who are in financial need; and
b) Up to two scholarships shall be awarded each year to P.C.LL. students studying government-funded places who achieved the best overall performance in the five compulsory core courses, namely Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Transactions, Property Transactions I and Professional Practice and Management; and obtained an overall distinction in the P.C.LL.. In the case of equal performance, preference shall be given to those with better leadership, character and performance in the selection interview, if any.
