Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship

On the Donor

With the Faculty of Business and Economics ("the Faculty") being named as a Beta Gamma Sigma Premier or Exemplary Chapter, the Beta Gamma Sigma (the "BGS") shall award one scholarship to one of the BGS members who is pursuing studies at the Faculty.  The scholarship aims to recognize the excellent achievements of the selected outstanding student.

Purpose and Scope

There shall be one award of the value of USD1,000.  The BGS shall contribute USD500 towards this scholarship, with a matching fund of USD500 provided by the Faculty.

Students who fulfill the following requirements may apply for the scholarship:

1) a full-time undergraduate at the Faculty of Business and Economics; and

2) the student must be a current BGS member at the time the scholarship is awarded.

 

The scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of the following criteria:

1) academic merits;

2) leadership ability, participation in extra-curricular activities and community services;

3) any personal attributes including maturity, interpersonal skills, a sense of self-confidence and creativity; and

4) proficiency in English and Chinese
