China Development Studies Scholarship, The

On the Donor

In 2013, the Department of Geography set up a scholarship as an encouragement to support non-local students (i.e. students who are required to apply for Student Visa to study for the Master of Arts in China Development Studies (MAChDS) programme at The University of Hong Kong) with excellent academic achievements.  The scope of the Scholarship was expanded to include local students in 2021. 

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded annually to a maximum of two suitable students of MaChDS full-time programme, based on their academic merits in the first semester of the MAChDS studies.

The Scholarship shall be deducted directly from the second installment payment of the composition fee of the MAChDS programme of the awardee(s).
