On the Donor

The H. Dennis and Anne Beaver Foundation encourages foreign language study at the high school and university level, sending gifted and highly motivated students to France.

The Foundation offered a donation to The University of Hong Kong in 2008 for the award of scholarship to undergraduate students in support of their language training programme in France in the summer.

Purpose and Scope

The scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit to second- and third- year undergraduate students(s) who are pursuing a major or a minor in French.

There shall be 1 or 2 scholarships per year of a value to be determined by relevant costs in effect which will be announced at the time when applications are invited. The Scholarship will include round-trip airfare from Hong Kong, charges from the Alliance Francaise or other approved institutions in France, housing, limited rail transport and pocket money.
