Dr Philip K H Wong, an alumnus and the former Chairman of The University of Hong Kong Foundation(香港大學基金) and a dedicated philanthropist, generously donated a sum for the establishment of a scholarship endowment for students at HKU.
The primary objective of the “Philip K H Wong Foundation Scholarships" is to attract outstanding students from Mainland China and around the world.
The main purpose is to nurture capable and promising non-local students to pursue undergraduate studies and free them from any financial constraints.
Henceforth, the “Philip K H Wong Foundation Scholarships"shall be used as entrance scholarships for non-local undergraduate students based on academic acheivement at prevailing public examinations for admission to the University.
The scholarships will be partially or fully covering tuition fees and living expenses, and renewable each year for three years until the completion of studies subject ot a satisfactory performance being maintained.
