On the Donor

In 1971 Abdoolally Ebrahim and Company (Hong Kong) Limited donated to the University to set up a scholarship in honour of Mr. Abdeally Noordin Ebrahim on the occasion of his ninety-first birthday.

Purpose and Scope

The scholarship will be awarded to a second year student of the Muslim faith studying Bachelor of Economics or Bachelor of Economics and Finance, primarily on the basis of academic merit. Financial need may also be taken into consideration. In any year where there is no deserving Muslim applicant, the Scholarship may be awarded to a student not of this faith. 

Note:

• Applications are usually accepted in Semester One of each academic year.
• Applications for the 2024-25 Scholarship will open in late August 2024 and close in late September 2024. Results are expected to be available around June/July 2025.
