In 2014, Ms Cynthia Lau, a Social Sciences alumna, pledged a donation to set up a scholarship for Social Sciences students to participate in overseas exchange during their undergraduate studies.
Shan Ji (善基) was the boarding school that Ms Lau’s parents established in the 1960s and operated until the 1980s. This boarding school holds a lot of special meaning for Ms Lau and her family; it was where she completed her primary education and it embodied the devotion of her parents to nurturing the next generation of Hong Kong throughout those three decades.
