On the Donor

In 2012, Mr Brian Lui and Mrs Priscilla Lui, a social work alumna, pledged a donation to support students from less privileged families studying social work and educaion. The Scholarship was set up in memory of Mr Lui's late mother, Madam Lui Chui Sau Chun, with the aim of reducing the burden of talented students with financial disadvantages.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded to:

(i) a Year 2 Bachelor of Social Work student; and

(ii) a Year 2 student studying in any one of the following programmes at the Faculty of Education:  BA&BEd(LangEd)-Eng, BA&BEd(LangEd)-Chin, BEd&BSc, or BEd&BSocSc.

 

Selection criteria:

• Academic merit (a minimum GPA of 3.0), and
• Financial need.
