Eric Peter Ho Memorial Scholarship
何鴻鑾紀念獎學金

On the Donor

In 2015, the family of senior HKU alumnus Mr Eric Peter Ho CBE JP, together with friends and former colleagues of Mr Ho, pledged a donation to set up a scholarship in his name. Mr Ho dedicated his entire working life to serving Hong Kong as a Civil Servant. Mr Ho was among the first batch of students admitted to the University in 1946 when it re-opened after the War. In addition to his academic studies, he engaged in university life through active participation in sports and the student union. After graduation, he spent three years receiving training as an inspector of tax in the United Kingdom. The study-abroad experience impacted his life and defined his career direction. Mr Ho's family feels that the most suitable way to honour their father is to establish a scholarship to encourage students taking part in academic exchange.
