In 2013, with matching from the Sixth Government Matching Grant Scheme and HKU's "Centenary Scholarship Fund - Turn 1 to 5 Campaign, the Faculty of Social Sciences received donations and a matching grant for the establishment of scholarship to benefit local full-time undergraduate students enrolled in UGC-funded programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The Scholarship shall be awarded as Enrichment Scholarship, to current local full-time undergraduate students who are permanent residents of Hong Kong and are enrolled in UGC-funded programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences, to support their experiential learning activities as approved by the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Selection Criteria:
The value of each Scholarship shall be in the range of HK$10,000-15,000, with the exact value to be determined by the Faculty on the basis of the experiential learning activities, the applicants’ academic merit and financial need.
