Sister Mary Aquinas and Purviz & Rusy Shroff Scholarship

On the Donor

In 1999, the Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association agreed to donate an annual sum to establish a prize called the Sister Mary Aquinas Prize. In 2010, the annual donation was raised. In 2014, the prize was renamed as the Sister Mary Aquinas and Purviz & Rusy Shroff Scholarship in appreciation of the generous donation from Mr Rusy M. Shroff and Mrs Purviz R Shroff to the Association. In 2016, the annual donation was further increased.

Purpose and Scope

Two scholarships shall be awarded each year, to the best and second best students in the Tuberculosis (TB) Module, at the value of HK$10,000 and HK$5,000 respectively. Competition is open to medical students in Year IV on completion of the Integrated Block. Awardees will be selected based on their performance in continuous assessment in the TB Module of the Integrated Block.
