On the Donor
n 2016, the family of Mr Chu Tsun Hong decided to redirect an earlier donation of HK$200,000 to set up a prize for recognizing outstanding postgraduate research students at the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) under the Faculty of Engineering. The Scholarship shall be awarded with effect from the academic year 2015-16.
The value of each Scholarship shall range from HK$10,000 to HK$20,000, with the exact value to be determined by the Department Research Committee each year
In March 2016, the family of Mr Chu Tsun Hong pledged an amount to set up a Scholarship for recognizing outstanding research postgraduate students at the Department of Data and Systems Engineering (DASE) under the Faculty of Engineering.
Purpose and Scope
The Scholarship shall be awarded annually to a maximum of two outstanding research postgraduate students, on the basis on the impact of the research outcomes during their studies at the Department of DASE. Research outcomes include research achievements such as publications, patents, and non-conventional research outputs.
