On the Donor

In 1998, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) established a Scholarship to recognize outstanding undergraduate students in the Faculty of Business and Economics. In 2012, the ACCA increases the number of scholarships from one to five awards. In 2021, the Scholarship was extended to students in the Master of Accounting Programme and the number of scholarships was increased to nine awards. 

Purpose and Scope

The scholarship shall be awarded to:

  • one final-year student in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance Degree Programme who has achieved outstanding academic results based on the final-year first-semester examinations;
  • three third-year students in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance Degree Programme who have achieved outstanding academic results based on the third-year first-semester examinations;
  • one final-year student in the Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) Degree Programme/ Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) and Bachelor of Laws Degree Programme who has declared a professional core in accounting and achieved outstanding academic results based on the final-year first-semester examinations; and
  • four full-time year-one students in the Master of Accounting Programme who have achieved outstanding academic results based on the first three modules.
