On the Donor
In 2016, Dr Pauline Chan Charitable Foundation (hereafter as “Donor”) donated an annual sum
of HK$100,000 to establish a scholarship for medical and nursing students at the LKS Faculty of
Medicine (hereafter as “Medical Faculty”). The awarding of the Scholarship started in the academic
year 2016-17.

Purpose and Scope
Four scholarships shall be awarded annually to non-final-year local full-time students at the
Medical Faculty. Two of them shall be awarded to the students who are reading the Bachelor of
Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and the remaining two shall be awarded to the students
who are reading the Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs), primarily on the basis of academic merit and
secondarily on financial need.
