On the Donor

In 2016, Mr Sung Chi Wing [BSc(Eng)1969] and his eldest sister, Dr Sung Man Ling (MBBS 1966) pledged a gift to establish a scholarship in honour of their parents, Mr Sung Hon Ting and Ms Cheng Pui Lan. The scholarship shall be awarded annually to outstanding students taking courses offered by the School of Chinese. 

Purpose and Scope

Each year, two scholarships shall be awarded to students in any year of study taking not less than 24 credits in undergraduate courses offered by the School of Chinese, including courses in one or both of the following areas: Classical Chinese and Chinese History.

The Scholarship shall be awarded based on academic merit.
