On the Donor

In 2016, the family of late Madam Chan Kam Fei made a pledge to the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine for the establishment of a fellowship scheme to benefit research postgraduate students who have a keen interest in the field of Neurosurgery. 

Purpose and Scope

The Fellowship shall be awarded to a maximum of three full-time research postgraduate students (MPhil/PhD), including new and renewed awardees, annually in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.

The Fellowship shall be awarded on the basis of:

• academic merits;
• quality of research proposal (for PhD candidates only) which must be endorsed by the candidates' supervisors; and;
• relevance of the candidates' research field to Neurosurgery.
