In June 2013, with matching from the Sixth Government Matching Grant Scheme and HKU's Turn 1 to 5 Campaign, the Faculty of Education received donations and/or a matching grant for the establishment of scholarships.
The Scholarships shall be awarded to full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students who are permanent residents of HK enrolled in UGC-funded programmes at the Faculty of Education.
The Scholarships shall be awarded as enrichment scholarships as follows:
(a) Education Faculty Scholarship on Experiential Learning for Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Programme to support PGDE students participating in experiential learning activities. The Scholarships shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit; and
(b) Bachelor of Science in Information Management [BSc(IM)] Internship Scholarship to support BSc(IM) students who have opted for internship outside of Hong Kong. The Scholarships shall be awarded on the basis of the students' internship performance and their overall results in the Professional Experience course.
The Scholarships cannot be held concurrently with other merit-based enrichment scholarships administered by the University for the same activity but may be held concurrently with non-merit-based financial aids.
