On the Donor

In 2014, Mr Winfred Tai Yik-Sun made a generous donation to the School of Chinese Medicine of HKU to establish the "Peter H M Tai Chinese Medicine Entrance Scholarship" in memory of his late father.  The Scholarship aims to attract outstanding students to study for the degree of Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (BChinMed). 

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarships shall be awarded to the most academically outstanding students, who are admitted to the BChinMed programme via the JUPAS route, as decided by the Selection Committee, on the basis of the candidates' performance in the public examination for admission to the University.

The top-ranked new awardee each year would be able to renew his/her scholarship for the normative period of study, subject to satisfactory academic performance being maintained and funds available.  For other awardees, the Scholarship shall be tenable for one year only.
