Lesile Wright Scholarship for Chinese Mainland Students

On the Donor

In 2004, the Management Committee of the Leslie Wright: HK-China Legal Fund agreed to establish a number of Leslie Wright Scholarships for award to students from the Chinese Mainland admitted to the Master of Common Law Programme (MCL) offered by the Faculty of Law.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit and performance in extra-curricular activities at the time of MCL admission and on the condition that the nominated student(s) shall achieve an overall CGPA3.00 in the first semester of MCL.

Up to two scholarships shall be awarded each year to students from the Chinese Mainland admitted to MCL at HKU with a maximum value of HK$50,000 per award. The exact amount of the award shall be determined by the Selection Committee, with regard to the tuition fee, living and other expenses.
