Doctoral Entrance Scholarship for Medical Research Excellence

The LKS Faculty of Medicine (Medical Faculty) shares with other Faculties in the University the common goals of imparting knowledge to students through research. In 2017, the Medical Faculty established an entrance scholarship for high-caliber PhD candidates enrolled in the Faculty. 

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded each year to new full-time PhD students enrolled in the Medical Faculty who have been considered for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowships (HKPF) from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council or the HKU Presidential Scholar Programme (HKU-PS). The numbers of scholarships shall be determined by the Medical Faculty Office based on Faculty funding availability. 

The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with HKPF, HKU-PS, or other entrance scholarships/awards administered by the University.
