Daikin Scholarship

On the Donor

DAIKIN AIRCONDITIONING (HONG KONG) LTD. (“the Donor”) kindly established a scholarship at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of The University of Hong Kong (“the University”) in 2004. In 2016, the donor agreed to continue the scholarship scheme.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded to students in the following categories:

(a) One scholarship of HK$12,000 shall be awarded to a final year undergraduate student enrolled in the B.Eng. degree curriculum in Mechanical Engineering (Building Services Engineering) on the basis of academic merit as shown in the B.Eng. Degree Examinations in the final year of study.

(b) Three scholarships of HK$8,000, HK$6,000 and HK$4,000 respectively shall be awarded to top three students according to the overall scores for the “Integrated Capstone Project” course. The capstone project shall have a theme or title related to the area of building services engineering.
