Mizuho & OCBC Wing Hang Bank Scholarship and Charitable Funds Awards

In 2018, OCBC Wing Hang made a donation to establish a scholarship for undergraduate students. The awarding of the Scholarship shall be effective from the academic year 2018-19.
The Scholarship shall support full time local undergraduate students as:
i. an entrance scholarship to top performing students at public
examinations for admission to the University under the central entrance scholarship scheme and/or;
ii. an enrichment scholarship for students to take part in learning activities such as but not limited to academic exchange under HKU Worldwide Undergraduate Student Exchange Scheme, internships, service learning activities, field trips and study tours, etc.
Purpose and Scope
The Scholarship shall support full time local undergraduate students as:
- an entrance scholarship to top performing students at public examinations for admission to the University under the central entrance scholarship scheme and/or;
- an enrichment scholarship for students to take part in learning activities such as but not limited to academic exchange under HKU Worldwide Undergraduate Student Exchange Scheme, internships, service learning activities, field trips and study tours, etc.
For entrance scholarship, it shall be tenable until completion of studies under normative study period.
For enrichment scholarship, it shall be tenable for one year only. It cannot be concurrently held with other merit-based scholarships administered by the University for the same activity but may be held concurrently with non-merit-based financial aids.
