In August 2018, a group of the alumni (mainly from the Class of 1961 to 1982 of the
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)) donated HK$1 million to
establish the S Y King Memorial Scholarship in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
in memory of and as a tribute to the late Professor S Y King.

Purpose and Scope
two scholarships shall be awarded annually. One scholarship shall be
awarded to a Year 4 undergraduate student in EEE who has completed at least
180 credits, and the other scholarship shall be awarded to a Year 3
undergraduate student in EEE who has completed at least 120 credits.

The Scholarship shall be made on the basis of academic merit (with CGPA of 3.30 or above), and evidence of leadership and participation in community services.
