Medical Faculty Enrichment Scholarship

Medical Faculty Enrichment Scholarship was established as a pooled fund since 2019 to support undergraduate students of the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Medical Faculty) in engaging in diverse learning activities that enrich their academic experience. The Scholarship is funded through multiple sources, notably from the “130 for 130 Legacy Campaign for the Next 130” from alumni and friends of the Faculty in 2018. In November 2025, an anonymous donor who shares the Faculty’s vision in student support contributed a sum to this scholarship pool to provide support to HKUMed students.

The Scholarship shall be awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students of the Medical Faculty in support of their participation in learning and research programmes duly approved by the Medical Faculty. Activities may include, but not limited to, academic exchange, intercalated studies, elective attachment, research attachment,voluntary and community services, and/or any other experiential teaching and learning activities.

Upon completion of the Enrichment Year Programme, awardees are required to submit a report on their experience and reflections on the programme(s) concerned. 

The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other merit-based enrichment scholarships administered by the University for the same activity. The Scholarship may be held concurrently with non-merit-based financial aids. 

Value of Award Ranged from HK$10,000 to HK$100,000 each (To be determined by the Selection Committee on the basis of students’ academic merits, activity duration, budget and financial needs)
