Centenary Scholarship for Engineering Students
On the Donor
In November 2018, the Dean and Heads of Departments’ Meeting/Faculty Sub-Committee on
Resources Allocation agreed to make use of the Centenary Scholarship Fund1 to support the Faculty’s
initiatives including: i) topping-up existing scholarships, awards and prizes2; ii) establishment of the
Dean’s Club and Dean’s Awards; and iii) supporting student experiential learning activities mainly
through participation in projects and competition. To support initiative (i), the Faculty of Engineering
established the Centenary Scholarship for Engineering Students with HK$3.64M allocation3 from the
Centenary Scholarship Fund.

Purpose and Scope
The Scholarship shall be awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in UGC-
funded programmes at the Faculty of Engineering on the basis of academic merit.
