On the Donor

In celebration of the Faculty of Science Oak Anniversary in 2019, an alumnus of the Faculty Mr Stanley Chu 朱裕倫 and his wife Annie Chow 周肖馨, pledged a donation for the establishment of a scholarship on enrichment learning abroad or in mainland China for students in the Faculty of Science. 

Purpose and Scope

Ten scholarships shall be awarded annually to undergraduate students studying in the Faculty of Science Programmes, primarily on the basis of academic merit and secondly on financial need of students.

The Scholarship shall support outstanding science students to engage in enrichment learning activities that fulfill the requirement set by the HKU Horizons Committee currently as follows: the duration of each learning activity should be no less than 3 weeks of which at least 2 weeks must be outside Hong Kong, be it continuous or non-contiguous as long as the learning activity itself is integrated.
