Tse Family Scholarship in Biological Sciences

On the Donor
In celebration of the Faculty of Science Oak Anniversary and to commemorate the 100th
Birthday Celebration of his mother (Mrs. Tse Wong Mee Kuen 謝黃美娟) in 2019, Mr
Tse Sik-Yan 謝錫恩, an alumnus of the Faculty, pledged a donation of HK$ 200,000
for the establishment of a scholarship for outstanding undergraduates majoring in
Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Molecular Biology &
Biotechnology (Intensive) under the Bachelor of Science Programme.

Purpose and Scope
Two scholarships shall be awarded annually to undergraduate students majoring
in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, or Molecular
Biology & Biotechnology (Intensive) under the Bachelor of Science
Programme, on the basis of academic merit as follows:
(i). One scholarship, of the value of HK$10,000, shall be awarded to a
student who has completed his or her second-year study of the
aforementioned majors, based on his/ her Year I & II university
examination results.
(ii). One scholarship, of the value of HK$10,000, shall be awarded to a
student who has completed his or her third-year study of the
aforementioned majors, based on his/ her Year II & III university
examination results.
