In February 2026, the donor pledged a further sum to support the Scholarship.
The Scholarship shall support students of the Faculty of Architecture to take part in educational travel in the form of a study programme, a design studio or a class of no less than two weeks’ duration, to enrich their overseas learning experience.
Up to four scholarships shall be awarded each year to students of the Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies [BA(AS)] programme on the basis of academic merit and the proposed activity. Applications, including the travel proposal, shall be submitted through the Department of Architecture. Applicants shall be expected to submit a 500-word proposal outlining their travel itinerary including expected dates of departure/arrival and places to be visited, their study plan during the travel period, and their travel budget. Shortlisted applicants shall be invited to an interview with members of the Selection Committee in the Department of Architecture to give a presentation on the proposed travel plan. Applicants’ performance in the interview will be taken into account in determining the final outcome of the Scholarship.
Scholarship recipients shall be required to submit a report to the Faculty of Architecture within two weeks of completing their trips.
The Scholarship shall be of the value of HK$10,000 each for three scholarships to be awarded respectively to a Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students of the BA(AS) programme; and HK$20,000 for one scholarship to be awarded to a Year 4 or final-year student of the BA(AS) programme.
