International Postgraduate Scholarships for Computer Science

In 2019, Department of Computer Science established a scholarship to attract

outstanding candidates from overseas to pursue the Master of Science in Computer Science

(MSc(CompSc)) programme at The University of Hong Kong.

In 2019, a Scholarship was established to support outstanding candidates from overseas to pursue the Master of Science in Computer Science (MSc(CompSc)) programme at The University of Hong Kong.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded annually, on the basis of academic merit and

personal qualities, to full-time non-local students, holding a Bachelor’s degree from

an overseas university and valid student visas in Hong Kong, entering in the Master of

Science in Computer Science Programme. If necessary, applicants may be invited

for interviews.

3. Up to five scholarships shall be awarded each year, and the value of each scholarship

shall be at least 25% of the tuition fee1. The exact number and value of scholarships

shall be determined by the Selection Committee.

Up to five scholarships shall be awarded annually to full-time non-local students who hold a Bachelor’s degree from an overseas university and have been offered a place in the MSc(CompSc) programme, on the basis of academic merit and interview performance, if applicable.

The value of each scholarship shall cover the composition fee of 72 credits.

The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other scholarships administered by the School of Computing and Data Science.

Should a recipient withdraw from or transfer to another programme after being awarded the Scholarship, he/she shall be required to return the disbursed scholarship amount to the School of Computing and Data Science.
