Entrance Scholarship for the Master of Statistics

In 2020, a Scholarship was established for new students of the Master of Statistics programme to recognize their outstanding achievements upon admission.
Purpose and Scope
A maximum of forty scholarships shall be awarded annually to new students of
the Master of Statistics programme on the basis of academic merit, financial
need upon admission and, if necessary, interview performance. The exact
number of scholarships shall be determined by the Department of Statistics and
Actuarial Science.
A maximum of ten scholarships shall be awarded annually to new students of the Master of Statistics programme on the basis of academic merit, financial need upon admission and, if necessary, interview performance. The exact number of scholarships shall be determined by the Selection Committee based on funding availability.
The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other scholarships and/or financial aids (except for Government Financial Assistance Schemes).
Should a recipient fail to complete the graduation requirements; withdraw from or transfer to another programme after being awarded the Scholarship, he/she shall be required to return the disbursed scholarship amount to the School of Computing and Data Science.
