On the Donor

HKEX Foundation, the dedicated charitable arm of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), aims to drive and inspire change by supporting community projects that address various social and environmental challenges, helping to address global issues at a local level. This Scholarship shall be dedicated to supporting talents in the biotech and innovation sectors, an area of remarkable growth and emerging importance in Hong Kong.

In 2020, the HKEX Foundation established two scholarships at HKU - 

i) HKEX Foundation Scholarship for studies in the fields of business and finance and

ii) HKEX Foundation Scholarship for Biotechnology and Innovation.

Purpose and Scope

One scholarship of the value of HK$50,000 shall be awarded from the academic year 2020-21 to a full-time local undergraduate pursuing his/her first undergraduate degree and enrolled in Biomedical/Medical Engineering Programme under the Faculty of Engineering, on the basis of academic merit.

The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other scholarships administered by the University.
