On the Donor

In April 2020, AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited & AEON Credit
Service (Asia) Co., Limited pledged an initial donation of HK$200,000 to establish
scholarships to be awarded annually to encourage young people to take a leading
role in society.

Purpose and Scope

Twenty scholarships shall be awarded every year to full-time undergraduate
students under the following categories:
i. 8 scholarships for second or third-year students of the Department of
Japanese Studies;
ii. 8 scholarships for non-final-year students of the Faculty of Business and
Economics; and
iii. 4 scholarships for non-final-year students reading the degree of the
Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering & Logistics
Management and the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science
3. The Scholarship shall be awarded based on academic merit, subject to the
following threshold criteria:
i. for students of the Department of Japanese Studies: CGPA 3.20 or above
ii. for students of the Faculty of Business & Economics: CGPA 3.30 or
above
iii. for students of the Faculty of Engineering: CGPA 3.30 or above
