In the 2019-2020 admissions exercise, the “HKU Belt and Road Scholarship” scheme was launched to enable the University to maximize the funding from the HKSAR Government.
The Scholarship shall be awarded to:
(i) newly admitted first-year undergraduate students from Belt and Road countries* who are enrolled in full-time publicly-funded undergraduate programmes at the University based on:
(ii) recipients of HKSAR Government’s “Belt and Road Scholarship” but who were unable to meet the renewal criteria, but are allowed to receive a reduced scholarship amount as stated in the Conditions of Award.
The exact number of scholarships to be awarded and the value of the scholarship shall be determined by the Admissions Office each year.
