Scholarship for Doctor of Nursing (Full-time)

In 2019, the School of Nursing of the LKS Faculty of Medicine ("Medical Faculty") established a
scholarship for non-local students admitted to the Doctor of Nursing (“DNurs”) Programme on a full-
time basis.
In 2019, the School of Nursing of the LKS Faculty of Medicine established a scholarship for non-local students admitted to the Doctor of Nursing Programme on a full-time basis.
Purpose and Scope
The Scholarship, of the value up to 50% of the tuition fee1 of the DNurs Programme, shall be
awarded each year to non-local students, admitted to the full-time DNurs Programme on the basis
of academic merit and financial need. Students may be invited to a selection interview if necessary.
3. Up to two scholarships shall be awarded each year. The exact number and value of the
scholarships to be awarded shall be determined by the School of Nursing, on the recommendation
of the DNurs Programme Director after taking into consideration the academic merit and financial
need of applicants and fund availability. In any event, the value of each scholarship shall not be
less than HK$10,000.
4. The Scholarship shall be tenable for one year, and disbursed to the awardee in three equal
instalments:
i. The first instalment, equivalent to 30% of the Scholarship, shall be paid to the awardee upon
completion of his or her first year of DNurs studies;
ii. The second instalment, equivalent to 30% of the Scholarship, shall be paid to the awardee
upon completion of his or her second year of DNurs studies;
iii. The remaining 40% of the Scholarship shall be paid upon completion of all graduation
requirements.
