In 2020, in response to challenges posed by the socio-political unrest and the
COVID-19 pandemic, the University has launched the HKU Aspiration
Scholarships for local HKDSE students to encourage application to targeted
programmes at the University.

The Scholarship shall be awarded to newly-admitted undergraduate students
each year, based on the quality of secondary school applicants, academic merit
and a list of programmes approved by the President’s Steering Group on
