On the Donor

A donation was made by the family, friends, colleagues and fellow engineers of Mr Yung Kai Man to The University of Hong Kong to establish a scholarship for HKU Electrical and Electronic Engineering students. The scholarship shall be awarded with effect from the academic year 2010-11. The value of each scholarship shall be HK$5,000.

Purpose and Scope

The scholarship shall be awarded to a student studying in the second year or above reading for a BEng degree in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and working on an undergraduate research internship programme under the supervision of an academic staff of the Department. The student must have achieved a yearly GPA of 2.8 or above in the academic year preceding the award of the scholarship.
