On the Donor
In June 2013, with matching from the Sixth Government Matching Grant
Scheme and HKU’s Turn 1 to 5 Campaign, the Faculty of Law received
donations and a matching grant totalling HK$618,061 for the establishment of
scholarships to benefit local undergraduate or postgraduate students enrolled
in UGC-funded programmes.

Purpose and Scope
A maximum of 10 scholarship(s) shall be awarded each year to local full-
time Year 1 undergraduate students enrolled in UGC-funded
programmes organized by the Faculty of Law based on the following
criteria:
• academic merit (cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the end of the second
semester of year 1 studies);
• financial need; and
• other qualities, including leadership qualities and community services,
may also be taken into consideration.
