In February 2021, family of the late Dr Philip K.H. Wong (BA 1955; HonLLD 1996) 
made a donation to set up a memorial scholarship1  for law students.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall support full-time students of undergraduate 
programmes organized by the Faculty of Law to take part in learning activities 
in Mainland China, including but not limited to academic exchange, short-term 
study or visiting programmes, internship or any other activities that are duly 
approved by the Faculty. 
 
 
 
3. A maximum of five scholarships shall be awarded each year on the basis of 
academic merit and the proposed activity.   
 
 

The Scholarship shall support full-time students of undergraduate programmes organized by the Faculty of Law to take part in learning activities in Mainland China, including but not limited to academic exchange, short-term study or visiting programmes, internship or any other activities that are duly approved by the Faculty. 
 
A maximum of five scholarships shall be awarded each year on the basis of academic merit and the proposed activity.   

The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other merit-based enrichment scholarships administered by the University for the same activity. 


 

Value of Award HK$10,000 to HK$20,000 each on the basis of the students’ academic merit; other criteria such as activity budget or financial need may also be considered
